No, you will feel very relaxed but your mind will be focused and you are always in control. You can open your eyes any time you wish. However, you should feel so comfortable that you won’t want to.
Will I say or do anything I don’t want to?
No, during hypnosis you can choose to reject any suggestions and you will always remain in complete control. Each session is based around the changes you want to make.
How many sessions will I need?
Each person is unique and so the number of sessions will vary, however the average number of sessions is 3 or 4. If you are coming for a simple confidence boost, or to get rid of an old habit, for example, a couple of sessions may be enough. If you have a phobia, it may take 3 or 4 appointments, although it could take a little more, or a little less time. If we are dealing with a complex problem then you may come for a few sessions, review the therapy then continue, reviewing as we go along. People often enjoy returning now and then for a boost, if there is something stressful happening in their lives.
You can stop smoking in one session.
How long will each appointment last?
An appointment for smoking cessation (one session technique) will take 90 minutes.
All other appointments take place within the hour. You will also receive a free half hour phone consultation before your first appointment.
Can most people be hypnotised?
Yes, most people can be hypnotised. It’s really just a matter of relaxing into a comfortable chair and listening to the sound of my voice. Your mind and body will relax to whatever level is right for you at that time.
How much will it cost?
Sessions will be £60 and smoking cessation will be £90. You will find these prices very competitive. I believe that access to therapy which promotes health and wellbeing should be as affordable as practically possible. Personalised support materials, including a relaxation download or CD, are included in the cost of the session.
If you represent a charity, then I am more than happy to negotiate a discounted rate for your patients/members.
